Thread regarding Neiman Marcus Group layoffs

Keep building customer base

I saw a post here that I don't really agree with except the part that said The average age of customers gets older every year. Time to move on and find a new customer. I agree but is this realistic to expect? Does this company have any capacity left for such a thing? I doubt it...

NM used to have Children’s departments that had clothes thru adolescent sizes then boys sizes in the One Up shop and Nuvo Dept for girls teen sizes. These areas served as an intro to NM for many of today’s core Incircle customers whom are now 60 - 70 years old. Think of how McDonalds Happy meals serve as an intro to the brand. These kids areas never highly profitable but they served a key purpose. These departments also served as an entry point for younger sales associates whom would move into other areas of the store as they gained confidence and experience.
