Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

No reason to worry as much

Most of my coworkers spend their days constantly worrying about being laid off, and that makes me sad. Being laid off is not easy, but it's also not as bad as some people have convinced themselves. I was laid off twice so far and each time I ended up doing better than before down the line. Yes, there's the initial shock, but most things fall into place much sooner than you expect after that. I know people can't stop worrying, but at least keep this in mind for your own mental health's sake.

Getting laid off from DST was the the kick in the pants I needed to get on with my life and find a more enjoyable job, which I did. Within two months of being laid off, I landed a great job at a much more prestigious company with better pay no benefits. I now look forward to going to work and no longer dread it. Life is too short to work for a sh*tty company. It’s been two years now since I left DST and I can honestly say, getting laid off was a gift because I’m so much more content and actually like the company I work fork.

Being layed off from DST was great for me. I found a job with the same pay, but more benefits, more days off, more promotions, and MUCH LESS STRESS..

All the stress of my job this year combined, DOES NOT EQUAL 1 DAY OF DST STRESS. I fell better about myself as I work for kind and caring people who do not want to offend or hurt other staff members feelings. DST was such a pagan hateful company where management felt their main job was to find fault with others. Well if people have faults - why didnt they solve that with better training? I had 1 week of training after being at DST for 5 years. Yes one week when I started. That was it. So whos fault is it if people are not up to speed on new tech? DST is history. In 10 years its name wont be recognized in KC. All the aps ever coded at DST will be dumped and replaced in 10 years. Its history. DST will mean nothing to the people of KC. Dont work for a nothing company. Leave it
