Things are not changing. The same ones who bankrupt CBI are running the projects and running the cost through the roof with bad leadership and no direction on how to build a plant. All their family members back in the same positions with no experience still and a total lack of care on safety.

Tell them to take that violation and shove it up their a$$. You'd be better off in the long run.

Ironically, forwarding the news of this promotion resulted in employees being chastised and told the "violation" would be addressed with their manager and included in their personnel file.

Know what that means.....no soup for YOU!! (in addition to no raises and no 401K matching)

I hope the McDermott is hiring with new leadership this is a win win! Especially because of the last time leadership changed it went so well. I hope they are hiring so I can come back. I can’t wait to have Heath insurance benefits and no 401k and no raises.

It might also be interesting to also put up a plot showing MDR's share price compared with Technip's share price. At least Technip's shares are still trading. The M D R went to Z E R O.

To be fair, we don't know the terms of the settlement.
To be blunt, why fire DD and replace him with someone apparently equally inept and dishonest?

I'm glad someone else remembers this. I believe the settlement was about 150-200MM USD. The dispute was settled before things really got disclosed in public court, but I recall the suit that was filed was very descriptive. Showed that SM hauled off a huge load of data in the final couple of days before joining MDR.

I can only imagine what would happen to any other lowly employee that cost the company this much cheese. I'm sure it wouldn't be a promotion... just saying.
