There will be another RIF Sept 2. Tick-tock

I already know that I’m losing almost my entire team. They lied about how much outsourcing they were going to do in my org. There is a massive amount of new teams in BLR.
Once these layoffs happen, Cerner has hit the iceberg. I’m not exaggerating. I will not be able to keep up and this situation isn’t unique to me. I’m already doing the work of 3 people, add that on top of the work of 2 others on my team that I’ll have to cover for.
I’ll train the new BLR associates if asked, but no where near as well as I trained the two that I’m losing because I’m not paid well enough. He-l with how little I’m paid I shouldn’t train them at all.
These layoffs are going to be massive. The attrition barely made a dent (even though there is a massive amount of attrition right now).
I’m done going above and beyond for no reward and no promotion. Cerner is going to get the work and pace they pay for and that is below average entry level.
We went thru several RIF's as part of our acquisition by Cerner at Siemens HS and it sure feels like another acquisition is on the horizon.

If you are not happy, what keeps you here?
The rumor it'll happen in early September has been around for a while. Something is deffinitely happening, you see more HR on the ground nowadays and managers are meeting behind closed doors. We'll see what happens but it does not look good.
We have a ton of knowledge transfer sessions setup for most of the solutions in our CWx team with BLR, a lot of which they won't understand due to their lack of knowledge with K8's. So I expect that we're going to get hit pretty hard while the solutions suffer under BLR.
Left Cerner 5 years ago... best decision I ever made. Honestly if you're sticking through this bu-----t hoping to dodge a bullet you're an id--t.
