Thread regarding Avis Budget Group Inc. layoffs

Just wanted to say

A lot of Avis employees that were overworked and underpaid left for better jobs.. the ones with the easy office jobs that did nothing are the ones that survived. Avis now is full of a lot of weak management and lots of corporate debt! Miserable company.

The ones that didn't leave SHOULD have. The company has now seen they can get by with fewer employees when the business was down so now they are working them into exhaustion now that business is picking up. The employees that stayed during the pandemic got no recognition or compensation, were not rewarded for putting themselves out there but told to be thankful you still have a job. More money was made by most of the individuals that were laid off on unemployment than Avis/Budget pays

It’s been that way for decades. Why would you expect anything to change? It’s amazing the people they keep around every time there are layoffs. City and Regional managers are the most useless of all.
