Will Hock and/or HR just pick a deadline already?

Tech companies across the country are giving final dates for when these experimental jabs are required. You are seeing it with Google, Apple, other tech companies and other financial companies and using this delta nonsense as an excuse. There is no avoiding it even though these are experimental treatments and NO ONE IS LIABLE if you get injured. Insanity!

This should scare the heck out of anyone. Many workers were coming in 100% since last summer and no issues at all so where's the fire? Many of us want to know the final date because we are either lawyering up or just leaving and some of us might try to get in a final vesting before we get out of this miserable company.

On top of that we got new pointless "woke" training. GL want to turn us into another SJW virtue signaling company?

I could not get an exemption so I caved because I could not find a new job in time. I hate this place even more now and I hope I can find something new the moment after I get the bonus. I have no desire to work for this awful place anymore. Maybe the hardware side is different but ESD and MSD are the worst.

HR already has the list of anyone who refused the jab. They are not responding to people requesting exemptions so they are going to fire without cause be prepared. They probably looking for remote jobs. There's a guy at my office talking about how he wants to WFH some days because of interviews and he'll just say he's sick.

Broadcoms model is all about acquiring bloated old companies and screwing the hapless customers of those companies to the maximum extent possible. Since those customers can't switch off your product overnight, they end up paying BIG.

Unfortunately the problem with this model is employees hate it and good employees will leave, so you need to pay them BIG.

However, what do you do when your'e customers come up to end of contracts, but you still have to pay employees? Darn, laying off those employees is EXPENSIVE.

Simple, use the COVID mandates as an excuse to fire employees for "cause", meaning you don't have to pay their entitlements.

You can be sure that our friends in the HR department will be paid big dollars to hunt down every last "anti-vaxxer" in the company and terminate them for "cause".

He hopes people leave on their own but I don't want to test it. I cannot afford the lawyers it takes to win in this situation. Octane is all about beating you into submission until you accept this awful environment.

I'm curious how this will play out. Notice it did not say the non-vaxxed would be fired. It just said they would not be allowed in to the office. But remotes also need to be vaxxed. I think Hock is trying to straddle a razor blade. I'm sure the final outcome will fall on who that remaining 10% is. He knows better than to fire his golden gooses, but he also sees an opportunity to cut 10% without having to pay severance and possibly unemployment. He can't have it both ways though. Any traces of special favors can bring the hammer down hard from the Feds.

Precautions? Half the company was working remote making them record profits and productivity and they had a few people running around spraying door handles and drawers while the other half in cubicles on webex calls.

Hock doesn't care about you or your health he only cares about money and growing the stock price and whatever China wants. Nothing wrong with looking out for yourself in this hot market. If you want a company that cares about employees you must go elsewhere.

Are you serious? Hock hopes you quit or die so that he does not have to pay severance. You are a expense on a balance sheet, nothing more. He wants you gone, nothing more.
