Thread regarding Marathon Oil Corp. layoffs

How can we get rid of the mandatory mask rule coming next week?

  • without getting targeted by HR? Makes no sense to require this. If this is truly a dangerous situation then we ought to be allowed to WFH (high risk populations or not).

All can be solved easily. Give all the future Darwin award winners the Ivermectin-Hydroxychloroquin-disinfectant co-----l. More money left for the bonus pool.

Everytime a marathon employee gets vaccinated, an angel gets it's wings.

I cannot wait for our town hall. I get chills just thinking about that yummy, treat of a CEO. Yes, I'll put the mask on. Jab me, LT! Jab me! I can't contain myself.

Anything getting mandated only opens the door wider for more employee separation. Between the mask mandates, new office move, and potential for MRO to mandate the jab, the company is looking at a high risk of losing a significant number of employees (which are already stretched quite thin in my opinion). The company has been generous in workarounds and flexibility during the pandemic and I am hopeful that continues into ‘22. They’d be wise to get ahead of all the noise and chatter in tomorrow’s Town Hall by being upfront and honest about their plans forward. Stop treating employees like children and show your hand. We’re all adults - don’t waste my time and I won’t waste yours. (Back to work…😷)

If spelling is any indication of the competency of Marathon employees, we are in BIG trouble ...

So true. Lee... step up to the plate and issue the mandate. If the whinners leave, we will be a stronger company.

by
|
Post ID: @criv+1cE2LfMn

I seriously doubt that any of the well paid employees would walk away from their job if Lee required all employees get vaccinated and where mask. There would be whining from a small group, but they would comply.

was probably deleted because of the foul language used.
regarding the “natural immunity”, it really should be asked again and again until answered properly., because some other countries have no problem recognizing it for a 6 months period when issuing covid passes.

Someone doesn’t want this seen. It was deleted from a post earlier… Dr. Fauci was finally asked why people with natural immunity should be required to get the covid vaccine given studies that show we have more protection. pic.twitter.com/B1NsHneUvE— Clay Travis (@ClayTravis) September 10, 2021

When the gen pop doesn’t police itself….according to some marathon employee, the gen pop policing itself means OBEY the government narrative, ask no questions…and dare ask if you do, get censored and ridiculed as a conspiracy theorist. Mass psychosis. There is a great presentation still available on YouTube about the sickness taking over the United States…https://youtu.be/09maaUaRT4M

Vaccine mandates and booster vaccines are being pushed by vaccinated people who aren’t happy with the effectiveness of the vaccine they took.

If Marathon forces me take the vaccine to keep my job, I'm going to drop a number 2 in the urinal on a regular basis.

You've been warned, HR.

You're complacency with some 78 year old politician making your medical choices is truly amazing. What's next, illegalize fatty foods? How about forced sterilization for "undesirables"?

You totally missed the point (and the sarcasm) .... the vaccines neither prevent infection or transmission. But if you have one, it does lower YOUR chance for severe disease.

I like to read pre-Covid articles to take the insanity out of the information being bandied about. This is an article dealing with natural selection and evolutionary biology. People really need to read and understand evolutionary biology.

by

Post ID: @8tit+1cE2LfMn

For the people that think Covid will go away with mass vaccination, you are not thinking in global terms. To vaccinate the rest of the globe and continue to give boosters every 5 to 6 months due to waning efficacy is just insanity.

Only one human disease has ever been eradicated ... smallpox. It took 181 years from the first vaccine to eradication, with 20 years of global focus.

Smallpox’s eradication was in a large part due to the absence of zoonotic reservoirs. Covid has several zoonotic reservoirs. Heck, 67% of the deer in Michigan show antibodies to Covid. It’s in the wildlife that lives near humans ... better keep those squirrels out of your yard as well ... or get ready to capture them and give them a jab.

For those who say “Polio has been eradicated!” No, it has not. Outbreaks still occur around the globe. Interestingly, most of the outbreaks are a result of vaccine induced polio.

If Ford sold a car without a seatbelt and that person got in wreck and died bc they flew through a window they would be sued. Marathon is Ford. The vaccine is your seatbelt.

Not all 4.8 million in Harris county drive.

by

Post ID: @7opo+1cE2LfMn

Harris county has about 350 traffic fatalities a year. So it’s 10-20 times more lethal than driving in Houston. We wear seat belts.

by

Post ID: @7bgx+1cE2LfMn

7,529 people have died in Harris county which has a population of 4,779,880. 0.157% fatality rate in this county.

Within Harris Co., there's 61% aged 12+ fully vaccinated (73% w/ 1 shot). There's 79% who are aged 65+ full vaccinated (89% w/ 1 shot).

Biden’s mandate will absolutely crush the economy. Whether vaccinated or not, millions upon millions will be out of work as a result of the ripple effect from this. Sure, watch what comes next.

With this new news coming out tonight, allowing employees to work from home is the obvious choice.

We proved we could do it for a year with little to no issues. Now's the time to say something, if ever.

Yeah, raise rates on young healthy people. Makes absolutely no sense.

Imagine championing this level of tyranny and calling other's id--ts. Low self awareness.

We're on about step 4 of who knows how many down the slippery slope. How many is too much? I guess we'll find out.

Can't prove that anyone has died of Covid? Walk into a hospital, people are dying every day. Go talk to a nurse. Talk to someone who had to watch a family member suffocate through a hospital window. It's not hard to see if you know people in that world. Get off the internet and go outside and you can see it for yourself.

And how could anyone possibly die from wearing a mask? You know several people working for our company in the field wear a respirator for 12 hours a shift and they're surviving just fine.
