So several plant managers seem to be leaving. Do they know something we don't? Looks like we in for some bad days ahead

Decatur Ice Cream Plant shut down? OMG??
With the deal Dfa made the unions swallow in bankruptcy, these union plants aren't going anywhere. Most lost weekend premiums, pensions, and Healthcare premiums went through the roof. They've got all their workers by the short hairs, so scared about losing business, jobs, and benefits that they know they'll never leave.
I'm dying at the person who called this "skilled" labor.🤣 A 1 armed monkey could do any jobs at these plants. Must be a clown from le mars.
They still can’t sell milk but they do make rules
Why? Fear of retribution. Clowns in charge have a long history of claiming to want input and then firing anyone who gives honest input that doesn't fit the predetermined "changes that are coming".
Why does no one ever say what plants they are talking about.
Really nothing to fear.
Skilled laborers are in demand and won't be on the market long.
Change is the same only calling it dfa changes with Dean clowns under different name. Look for changes 🤣🤣
Lol. Can't remember the number of times in the past we were told "change is coming". Any changes were almost always for the worse. Grand ideas that never took into account the reality of what was going on in the plants or what the customers wanted. My guess is more BS about stream lining opetions (code for layoffs and outsourcing) and some new national small volume per store money losing account.
Change is coming! Don’t fear what you don’t know. Keep doing your job to the best of your ability and be safe.
Don't have to be a plant manager to see that DFA is quickly heading down same path that Dean Foods went. There are available jobs everywhere right now. If you're sticking around because you're towards the top of the seniority list and near retirement with max vacation and just don't want to have to learn a new job for your last working years, I get why you'd stay. Everyone else who stays is foolish.
Why do you all still say Dean? The company is gone they don’t pay you and why not say DFA. Union non Union whether they WERE Dean or DFA are all DFA now. DFA will look to close any Union plant close to contract end no matter where plants are. Cheaper to sub it out. Learn reality. Unions will be gone in DFA or closed
Plant managers know something anyone under them are d-mb or are really good liars but know this distribution will go away from a lot of plants they will save a lot selling the milk to distributors
So what plants are they leaving?
Jumping off the sinking ship!! Can't really blame them .
Regional management is a no show!! They're not visiting the plant or making any improvements. Just collecting a paycheck while it last apparently. If us peons can see the downfall they surely must too, head in the sand and collect that pay!! Sinking ship!!
In pa there’s 4 plants 3 are union one of them will close problem is there’s no dfa plants close by but there are distributors they would love to produce for
Decatur was a non-union plant that got shut down and moved their volume to unionized plants. Seems like they don't have a clue
If your a small union plant near a dfa plant most likely there gonna shut you down if your a union plant there gonna try to sell the milk to smaller companies to resell so they can get rid of transportation there is no future at the company such a great job went to s-hit
