Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Is it even possible to have respect for them?

Every day I had less and less respect for both the leadership and the managers of this company, until finally I had zero respect for them. I’ve watched GM get rid of the best people, treat employees very badly and that’s why I’m so happy today like I haven’t been in a long time - I gave notice. Time for relief.

No, the bad company culture is ingrained to the point that the people pushing change aren't capable of the behaviors necessary to achieve it. That's why we shouldn't prop up companies that go bankrupt!

Good call. I don't care about giving respect to muppets who haven't earned it. I simply do my job well, collect the paycheck all while not being personally vested in the company and what it does.
If they continue to offer me pay increases, I stay. If not, I will happily resign as well.
