Thread regarding Canon Inc. layoffs

Toxic Culture

Yes, bullying is very common and allowed. The ex-pat’s sit back and watch it happen with amusement.
The American worker is only a necessary evil that the company must hire due to EEOC requirements. My advice is leave when opportunity occurs. There is no equity at the company regardless of how hard you work. As with much of the culture there is no assimilation only pretending. Don’t be fooled by politeness or claims of one team or family. Bring back the pumpkin patch!

Sadly, very tolerated in Japanese schools when it should be a crime and perpetrators treated as such!

worse than that - try being a consultant there. separate parking restrictions, only allowed on certain floors, pay cuts while employees are given bonus, banned from any company functions like earth day and company bbq etc. (how petty), used like tissue paper and thrown away.
