This might be a stupid question, but I'd like to know if F5 ever offers incentives for people to stay? I got an offer with better pay but to be completely honest, I don't think leaving F5 would be the best move for me right now. I hate to miss on the bump in pay, though. If I approach my manager, what are the chances I'll be offered a counteroffer or any other type of incentive to stay?

Money doesn't equal job security or job satisfaction for the average F5 employee.
Haven't seen any counter-offers being made either. I've seen more than a few people do transfers up and out of their dead-end roles to more fast growth parts of F5.
My manager always told me to come to them if I ever got a better offer somewhere else and we would work something out.
However, a couple years ago, a few very important key senior engineers were getting offers to go other places, probably looking around due to all the layoffs, and after they left I was told by the same manager that the guys didn't really want to leave F5, but there was literally zero option for counter-offer. Granted all that was around the layoff times, so maybe it's changed since then, but don't push your luck.
F5 has become a company where upper-middle management believes everyone is a fungible resource.
