Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

The Austin area with a population of almost 2.4 million people has just six intensive-care unit beds left

I think some soul searching needs to be done to determine is a worker really needs to be working at the office during this delta phase of the covid crisis.

If you adhere to safe guidelines it's possible to be in the office. I don't work for GM but i have been working in the office EVERY SINGLE DAY and all of us in our office have stayed safe and healthy. We wear masks at work and we are safe in our lives outside of work

I am just saying folks shouldnt be going in just for the sake of being there given the covid conditions. I have no idea on Austin work from home status, just saw the article and it happened to be from Austin, there are many areas that the new delta is a risk.

Folks in Austin already been called back to the office? We’re still WFH for the most part up in Michigan. Or you trying to say folks shouldnt be going in just for the sake of being there given the covid conditions
