Is anyone here happy with their job? I’m just happy with the paycheck but everything else is pretty demotivating. I used to go the extra mile at work, now I don't. I will be very happy to accept a job that offers a better atmosphere, even if it is paid less, because it has become unbearable here.

Perfectly happy with new my job. I'm not there.
Yeah DO took “shortcuts” that didn’t sit well. I sure I was tippy top of the layoff list cuz I was the a$swh0le that wouldn’t roll over when I saw sh!te like that. Interesting about CM heading to NG. He seemed a bit over his head but not the unethical sort. He did give us nice motivational reading material though. I’m not the whistle blowing type but given the cr@p show of timing the layoff during worst part of the pandemic while we were working our as--s off keeping the company afloat, I can totally see why it happened. I just wonder how GAC is going to get enough highly-skilled people to trust them enough to move to Savannah?
After laying off too many of the more experienced people, there weren’t enough around to get the work done. So several leaders in engineering left. Some voluntarily because of discomfort about what they were asked to do to deliver on schedule, some fired for cause because they did the stuff.
$5,000 finders fee.
Learn how to spell 'engineering'!
I wonder why did the top leaders in enginnering left? Do you know, do you have the answers... do tell
I'm very satisfied with my job. I was hired on at $20K above my previous job and was given a $20K pay raise after 1 year. I also have weekly meetings with the CEO on the current direction of the company. I'm just a lowly engineer but he likes to speak to the talent. I have 1 manager between us who is an engineer himself. My $15K bonus was great and the school system here is awesome, benefits 100% paid for as is 1 or two vacations per year. Oh cr-p... This is the GAC board. Sorry folks, clicked on my old employer and not my new one. Carry on.
I guarantee you do not have the best tech in aviation. You don’t even come close to too pay in aviation. If you want to remain mid level and controlled by big corporations then please stay where you are. If you desire pay based on ability and knowledge then look elsewhere. Gulfstream has become a joke in the aviation community. A little research and you would see.
“Very happy”, you are one of the chosen few. The majority would leave in a heart beat, but it’s hard to find the same pay locally. Gulfstream must love having disgruntled employees who hate their work environment but stay for the pay. Way to fu----g go Gulfstream!
Actually I’m very happy. Work with good people, steady paycheck and good benefits. If you think you can find better, you should pursue. We make amazing products and have the best tech. Always other opportunities.
Yes, very unhappy. Tired of the constant emails in regards to mask mandates and vaccines that “are not required, but encouraged.” Yet, those that get it, get extra time off. All this place is doing is dividing it’s employees and decreasing the morale. And now, our insurance will be going up because the incentive we once were getting has been taken away because it “did not produce the expected change in employee health.” However, GAC just recently brought back the smoke areas throughout the campuses. Strange how important certain parts of people’s health is important, but others are not. Just tired of the wishy washy back and forth corporate political mess.
I also hear people are walking out over the mask mandate and finding jobs already with way better pay and better hours....and its been what 2 weeks?
Gulfstream tech pay is nowhere near competitors. Go to a Managment company and your pay will more than double. No more high deductible insurance either.
You might think you're happy now with your paycheck, but you won't be when you see job offers from other companies.
Wonder why the top leaders in Enginerring left? “Retire” or tired of the bu-----t?
