Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Free College? Read the Small Print.

Target Corporation is offering "free college" to workers and qualifying members--through Guild Education. What's the catch? There are too many to tell. Be careful if you take advantage of the program and please read the fine print. If you don't understand all the gibberish, see if someone else can interpret it.

If I were you, I would read the fine print on everything with this company.

Yep! Some of these global campuses are not terribly well respected. I figured that the "free college" offer would be a bunch of dogshit. You'd be better served meeting with a financial aid advisor at a local community college to see what you might get from FAFSA. Community college is a great place to start and most of them offer online classes as well. You don't even have to leave your house.

@4bsq+1cpD8Sv3, no one in the mainstream media will tell you the truth--though Bloomberg Markets is investigating Guild Education, Target's education management company. Take a look at some of the schools Guild offers: some like Purdue Global (formerly Kaplan University) and University of Arizona Global (formerly Ashford University) are clearly subprime. #collegemania #robocollege #collegemeltdown
