Thread regarding Toys "R" Us layoffs

We're back, baby!

If there is anybody left who cares, of course...

*Toys "R" Us is getting another lease on life thanks to Macy's.
The two companies are partnering to sell toys on Macy's (M) website. The brands are also opening Toys "R" Us shop-in-shops at 400 department stores next year.*

Macy's has a 42% probability of bankruptcy and will be closing 45 stores in 2021.

I don't see how this partnership will be any beneficial for any of them. Who'd want to go to Macy to listen to all those kids crying and see the stressed out parents running around and looking for that special toy. The online platform is doable but limited only to Macy's costumer base so probably it's not that profitable. Plus, the malls are a relic of the past, I haven't set foot in one in over 13 years, and that was only to go to the movie theater. Epic fail for both of them, grasping at straws, just go for BK and put everybody out of their misery.
