Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Chevy Bolt recall will cost GM $1.8B

They should should just replace it with a ICE vehicle since it's apparent GM is not any good with new technology.

I know people that worked on the Bolt in Milford. Some of the people who were driving forces showed disturbingly low levels of conscience and empathy. This is chickens coming home to roost.

It's called winning! They beat Tesla Model 3 to market with a car that is nowhere close to the Model 3. They didn't seem to care about selling many of even them before we started hearing about them starting on fire. They are still professing their leadership, like usual, despite the fact the only new EV they have so far is...another Bolt. The Model S will be 10 years old in a matter of months!

Karma is a female dog, ain't it? Once upon a time, GM instigated NADA to block direct sales of Tesla, tried every trick in their playbook while playing catch up.... turns out GM still can't build something right.

The Bolt was ugly and should never have been rushed out to the market.

Electrification at General Motors is run by crooks. You can't have unethical people run these groups. Now there are more than ever.

Problem is GM’s #1 priority in engineering leadership is meeting dates and then they let the next person in that position clean up the mess. Stuff like this is an example of why that kind of culture doesn’t/wont work in the long haul. Metrics may look great short term but then someone will have to mop up the mess. Senior leadership needs to stop encouraging bad behavior with the current metrics they track.
