I gave my best and still I received criticism. I just wonder what this company really wants from an employee? It never seems to be enough for them, no matter how hard we work. The only reasonable explanation is that they are putting pressure on us to leave this place as soon as possible.

All these newly hired/promoted Vice Presidents reminds me of the successful banking industry we have in this country. Almost every bank has branch managers and assistant managers whom are promoted to Vice Presidents because they took some stupid online course.
Now Giant Eagle is doing it, because we ALL KNOW how WELL the banking industry has done since 9-11!
I’d be willing to bet money that the smallest 5 Giant Eagle stores in the company collectively have LESS employees than the company has people with Vice President titles! Let’s say the bottom 5 stores have 40-50 employees, and I’ll guarantee the company has at least 200 Vice President titles out there.
That’s Giant Eagle for you… It’s all about what have you done for us lately. They want you to always believe they are losing money and every dollar counts. Think about it. If they were losing money would they be hiring all of those Vice Presidents.. The BIGGEST SCAM going is Giant Eagle.
