Replacing the unethically laid off employees

I can't wait to see who will replace my colleague who was an employee that every good company would try to keep in every way.
I'm really interested in how they will be able to replace the experience and knowledge of those people who are laid off, but also how many more such people will we lose in the meantime, because no one worthwhile wants to work with mediocrities?

When a company uses a pandemic to get rid of employees it says allot.
Then they ask managers to pick the person who needs to go. They pick the people that normally pose the greatest risk to taking their position or being in competition for the next higher position. So HR allowed the biggest chick in the nest to kick out its competition. This is going to take years to get past. With no healthy competition everyone will become stagnant and productivity will suffer.
Great job HR .

Who cares! He got out with a nice severance and likely got picked up quickly by an organization that actually wants talent. Look around at how few of the hatchet men are still here and run don’t walk for the door. It’s our turn next.

That’s what happens being a part of General Dynamics. Doesn’t matter what division or business unit you’re in. The amount of talent and knowledge that is walked out the door due to not fitting the overbearing/underperforming mold of upper management is a moral and ethical tragedy.

Most people I know there are looking to get out of the company, the majority say management is the reason they are looking for other opportunities.
