Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Technology

What loses contracts? Partially this new IT department. They don’t solve a single issue. Couple this with the impatience of a pampered college administration, and you have a recipe for he-l.

Yes, that's true. I got booted in an early round. Is there anyone left in IT? Is it all outsourced?

Sounds like you missed a few layoffs and outsourcing contracts friend.

They never built a team in IT with a common goal. All the IT leaders have always been adversarial, in a constant struggle for control of the next big project regardless of whose team was the best choice, or which software product fit best, or which platform was hearty enough. The behavior is allowed, and depending on which CIO, even encouraged. When things go wrong, the front line IT team (support, training, QA, lower level engineers) are somehow at fault, or scope creep LOL.

It's just embarrassing at this point. Just shameful. How can our campuses take us seriously as a business partner when we constantly have so much issues?
