This is ridiculous. Was management aiming to alienate new hires from the rest of us by giving them starting pay that's so close to some of us who've been here for over a decade (and even longer in some cases) without giving everybody an appropriate raise to compensate? I know it's not the new hires' fault, but it's really hard not to be bitter in this situation. There's an easy way to fix this. We need appropriate raises across the board. Either that or the culture and work environment will become so toxic it'll be hard to continue working here.

It seems Walgreens would rather lose or get rid of their long-term employees while replacing them with new and cheaper ones. As far as culture and workplace environment are concerned, Walgreens in my experience, has been a pretty toxic place to work for some time now.
