My cousin was just laid off today after decades with the company. His whole organization was let go at once. Work is going offshore to cognizant.
Does anybody know which organization this was? I haven't heard anything about layoffs and now I'm panicking and wondering if this will continue next week.
More layoffs taking place with job functions being transferred to company with lots of offshore workers.

My sister told me the following: The policy print group “expression team” has been moving work over last 6 years to offshore company cognizant. Moral is really low across IT and upper “management” has absolutely no clue! LOTS of IT staff looking at other companies to go to. I would be concerned as a policy holder that my personal info was going to be handled in India.
Some areas in IT that still have full time employees.
