Can anyone really tell me when the layoffs will happen in GE Power? Schenectady layoffs for 273 and building 66? I’m just trying to work day in and day out paying my union dues. Trying to make a living to work towards a retirement. The way it’s looking and feeling. Retirement is off the game plan just want a rough idea. I’ve been hearing it’s going to happen very soon. Our union has even said there will be a layoff they do not know when. (They know)

Well seeing how our dues didn’t pay for job security, or a vote about these cameras going in on work stations. I do see a layoff soon maybe in 4 months. So that gives the company time to record the methods and processes to building parts. Now they have a video training on what the methods reads. This is by far the most ridiculous thing the union and lack of leadership has done. Those in the hall should be ashamed and embarrassed. Where is my vote? Where is my voice on these topics? The Representing leadership of the floor has sold us out just like the last few clowns in recent past. I am so waiting for my pink slip. If I am on camera for these training videos I will be showing plumbers crack and picking my nose. Waiting for my voluntary layoff so I can sever ties with a fat check.
