I would take my severance money and use it as a starter for a small business. Nothing that has anything to do with what I do right now. I don't want to hold on to the past. I just want to move on and get away from a big company that treats its employees like cr-p. Might be a stupid idea, but that's what's been keeping me normal in the horrible work environment we have to deal with each day.

Better watch out. Knowing Avaya if you take the second persons advice you'll probably get promoted.

Be smart man, start your business on the side, Avaya mgrs won't know the difference, pull back your performance, start getting lazy you will then be forced out and get the package, that's what I did, it took me over a year to do it
