When did gulfstream become quanity driven? I mean yes we produce aircraft for customers but holy fu-k, the numbers that are expected with the lack of any decent technicians atm is beyond stupid. Alot of engineers are producing sh-t drawings, people are dropping like Flys to other companies (good for them as they are being paid better) and management's solution is taking technicians from other places and filling in holes to get by for a few weeks and hope they get applicants....MB...fix yourself

Management is the reason I left there, the way they do things is totally insane. I have been in aviation 40 years and have never seen a mess like they have at gulfstream. The writing is on the wall for a major aircraft accident, who all knows about the panel that fell off an aircraft that was in outside ops a few months ago. Still waiting for them to self-report that but not holding my breath.
They don't care about the staff shortage right now. That problem can be obscured by talking about supply chain issues.
It won't matter anyway because it will be time for another RIF by the time supply chain catches up.
obviously they are paying the may 2020 layoff now by having staff shortage.
Hopefully they are. GAC should be a small innovation driven company producing planes/technology that change the world. Not producing spreadsheets that look great to stockholders.
GD and Savannah BLT are just positioning Gulfstream corp to be sold off.
I was on the IT side and it's the same problem with management, people leaving, and shuffling people. And to the person who said to raise it to management, that's a good laugh. My old manager had no clue what he was doing and when I talked to his manager, he basically told me to suck it up and deal with it. Well that ended this week when I left.
The day your relocation package obligation is met suspiciously coincides with the day two week notices are given a lot. We had one tech relocate here with family and quit within 6 weeks. But I’m sure there’s a spreadsheet somewhere showing management isn’t the problem. AA can tell you where it’s at.
I have a new tech that literally is already thinking of quiting cause of management...
Must be management flapping their gums about raise it to your manager or their management, management IS the problem! The department I work in has had many people leave the company or take other positions, there have been several people on the line leave and when you talk to them their biggest complaint is management.
Raise it to your manager and or their management. Bring specific examples and don’t vent this on a layoff board. I mean seriously.
