I never really expected that the bnsf would somehow recompense the employees who fought for this company through the pandemic. On the contrary, it's becoming increasingly difficult to work here for those who have repeatedly proven their loyalty and engagement. The result is astronomical lack of motivation. I think many of us have never felt less valued? Afterwards, they will be 'surprised' when they are left without the best employees who did work for several people.

They don't care so I don't care..just show up and collect your paycheck till retirement. Most all jobs suck. Thus the great resignation. May as well just stay put, I tell myself. 14 yrs to go. We'll see if I make it.
Union ruined motivation…. No reason to do your job. Seniority is king. You can do your job go above and beyond and still have tue we’d off 3rd shift and only get 2 weeks vacation for 8 years. Why? Show up clock in clock out build your a$& time and look forward to retirement while looking back on everything you missed. A great place to be to be harassed about doing your job so make them happy and don’t do anything.
“Great companies don't hire skilled people and motivate them, they hire already motivated people and inspire them. People are either motivated or they are not. Unless you give motivated people something to believe in, something better than their job to work toward, they will motivate themselves to find a new job and you`ll be stuck with whoever's left.”
This company could cate less about you. There was a time when you counted as human being, that changed when the bn took over and you became a liability. I retired recently and did get a watch, a dinner or even a thank you ! We were the ones who made this company and they don’t care enough about the employees to say thank you . I would not recommend this company to anybody, working as a ditch digger is better than this!
