My opinion is that next year even more people will leave here than this year and that it will be very difficult for those who stay. I am one of those who plan to leave right after the New Year holidays. There's no reason why I should stay here any longer.

I wanted to leave this year but haven’t found anything that gives me as good a schedule as I have at Follett. That’s important. It’s not all about money. I hope to leave next year and praying a great position becomes available.
I am planning on leaving next year too. Most of the 50-100 people from Notre Dame will be leaving as well. It seems that most of the people that had any idea about Coursetracks, online orders, IT, etc have already left. Our systems are horrible and no one knows how to work them. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they hired a 16 year old at minimum wage to run the IT Department.
I know you were probably joking about that being TL, but the only people that would benefit from Follett going bankrupt would be the board, especially TL (Boards tend to receive millions in bonuses right before a company files for bankruptcy). With pretty much anyone who knows anything leaving, how could this company not fail? Why would you encourage people to leave when there is nothing good to come of it? We can hardly even hire temps!
You would think @1plr+1dRK4mRV aka TL would have more important things to do than taunt people on this site but then again the less he does at work the better the company will be.
Hey, if folding t-shirts is your bliss, you be you. Others of us write software, test, merchandise, manage offices. Some of us retired. Nearly all of us are happy.
All of us enjoyed our pre-2013 follett family. We come back to encourage you to strike out and enjoy your next job/adventure. The only reason to stick around this ex------t extravaganza is because you're serving out a sentence. But if that's you? You know...
Why wait till after the new year holidays? Leave now. “Let the doorknob hit you where the good Lord split ya!”
Who says they aren’t in software?
I'm betting FHEG is up for sale. We'll see if that makes things better or worse.
Thanks for coming on this site and sharing this. I’m sure you’ll be like the other people that come back year after year and let us know how happy you are leaving the book store industry to go fold clothes at Target.
