Thread regarding Novartis layoffs

Toxic work environment

Novartis offers competitive pay and good benefits so I think a lot of people are willing to ignore everything else that's been going on for the sake of not losing those things. There is no escaping, though, that the company's culture has shifted dramatically and that the environment we're working in now is unhealthy. Blatant favoritism, bullying that is ignored, and constant lying by managers are only some of the issues we face each day. For some people, pay and benefits are enough to suck it up. Not for me, though. I'm out.

Bullying is definitely an issue at the company - haven't experienced the same at 3 other companies I worked for. But hey, I don't stand for it and neither should you.
Ps not sure you'd be hired just because you speak some Arabic. So what? So many others do too. Let's not strut around ....

Thanks for speaking up. I work for another big pharma company and I can second your comments.

This kind of toxic culture seems pervasive everywhere.
