Thread regarding Follett layoffs

This place will never change

I saw somebody mention this and I couldn't agree more: nobody should be staying here in hopes Follett will change. It will not. The only change that's been happening here for years is for the worse. If you want to change your future for the better, you'll have to leave. I hope everybody realizes this by now.

I see any store that is 75%+ if it’s sales come from textbooks, they will asked to go virtual. There will not be a physical store on campus. The campuses don’t have enough at stake, market share should also be included in the commission structure. The more we sell of actual enrollment, the higher the commission.

Speaking of change, does anyone think Follett will ever change their va---a logo?

Agreed. None of the changes that have happened over the past few years have been for the better. Things are only getting worse each year. The focus right now is solely on cutting payroll. That's all that matters. Because the sales aren't there, and they're never coming back. The leadership is in panic mode right now, trying to cut as much as they can. Expect to see a lot of unprofitable stores closing in the near future.

Hope is not a strategy. We learned that the hard way a while back, for 8 years.....
