Layoffs have been confirmed across the company. Most teams will be losing people and it is going to happen most likely in November. Submissions from managers on who to lay off are due by Friday, 10/15/21. They will be offered some sort of package.

last year it happened in Nov 10.
Anymore info on pending layoffs? I have my fingers crossed. :)
BBQ in summer where everyone brought something, Xmas gathering, even surprise pizza lunch. Even if it was small it meant something.
What area?
I was a lead engineer for NCR maybe 7 years ago. One day, given what they call a “RIF” for no reason. I also had to train my outsourced replacement to get severance.
This company should be on the 6PM news. They know they are doing shady sh-t to people. I’m glad I could finally say this somewhere that people will understand.
Oh NCR still has the holiday parties but not for you and me. The pigs on the 20th floor will do all the celebrating for you.
Fu-k NCR.
Happens a lot here some glimmer of hope then they pull the rug.
Once we were told on a Monday that Atlanta office was moving to Columbia, sc for the new world corporate office but they would know for sure on the following Friday. Friday came and they announced it was staying in Atlanta. We were glad, decision was over and done. The following Monday morning we found out it changed back South Carolina. And by now the following Friday people would know if they were chosen to go or get laid off. Messed up company, this was in 2001. And this messed up stuff been going way before then
Merry Christmas from NCR. I suspect this is probably the 12 consecutive year they’ve done this just before end of year holidays.
What’s makes it even harder is a lot of companies in this type of business usually put a hiring freeze on also.
Just another day at NCR..
There was a time when NCR had bonuses and holiday parties?!? I bet there were raises too, huh :)
I can confirm that this is the truth. Several suspicious movements in our group seem to be directed at thinning the herd.
I've heard whispers of product lines being put in freeze and a large contract not working out as expected.
It's really harsh to watch within 48 hours the management talk about being short on engineers and then layoff the ones they have. The company has no loyalty to its employees at all.
I can remember when the fall brought thoughts of Christmas parties, bonus payouts, etc. Now it is “duck and cover” and prep for a cr---y Christmas. NCR leadership stinks.
