I feel bad for fresh-out-of-college new hires. Those poor guys come here on a high hoping this will be the place where they will leave their mark and within a few months you can see the light dim in their eyes as they wake up to the reality that is McKesson. I guess it's good they find out early in their careers what kind of place this is so they can leave as quickly as they can, unlike some of us who are feeling stuck now. Still, it's sad to see people get disillusioned so fast.

In my humble opinion that applies here and a majority of other companies in addition to the government. I have been in worse places than here however it feels like once the honeymoon phase is over the claws come out and then it is time to make a decision to see it through or make a move.
Overall anyone fresh out of college that I get an opportunity to impart some wisdom to, I let them know up front what the reality is and encourage them to learn from others and become a better leader for tomorrow.
Well, we can only hope they become better leaders leaning quickly how it is when you work for bad ones. sometimes it is a good lesson on how you should never be.
