Hate to burst your fantasy but you do know that TPG and the CWA are currently renegotiating a new contract just for us Sat Boys. The Union is pushing hard for job security while TPG is looking for ways to get around us being Union - especially since DTV wasn't before T took us over.
What makes you think TPG will allow the union to continue after this contract expires? If they are savvy, they will declare bankruptcy and reorganize with the Techs being 1099 contractors.
CWA treated us a 100 times worse than Legacy Prem Tech's. Time to vote them out.
The process to decertify a union starts with filing an RD petition at the regional National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) office or electronically on the NLRB website. If 30 percent of the bargaining-unit employees sign the petition, the NLRB may hold a hearing and authorize an election to decertify the union.
