Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

What’s the BPX Inventory Like?

Potential new hire here.

I have another offer that is ~75% what BP is offering but isn’t O&G and is relatively safe. Plus has great Work-Life balance.

I’m trying to decide if the extra 25% is a worthwhile premium for a short career and extra 10hrs of work a week.

Just curious how long before BPX would wrap up their operations. What’s the word on the street? Can I expect to work there 5+ years if I am an above average performer?

Thanks

Take the other offer especially in the current political environment. Can’t imagine it will get any easier on Oil & Gas companies. And quite frankly, doesn’t it get exhausting watching all the ups and downs with layoffs and backstabbing. Good luck!

It is the above likely hood that you will develop long term health concerns working in a toxic environment that will cost you.

Please go read through the other threads. They are highly accurate. Don't come here. Its not a healthy place.

I would take the other offer and have a good balanced life. More money is not worth it if you don like what you do or are let go after a year.
