Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Executive Departures

At a time when VMware is trying to transform itself with new products and is being spun off from Dell the list of executives who have left this year is growing. There is no better way to signal your confidence in the future than voting with your feet. Just this last week 3 people who I work closely with have left. They were the smart people too. Given the many blunders by management I expect that more people who can think for themselves will be leaving.

Pat Gelsinger, CEO
Sanjay Poonan, COO
Ajay Singh, SVP/GM cloud management business
John Lens, vice president of software-defined data-center business
Jon Robertson, president and general manager
Scott Bajtos, global chief customer officer
Rajiv Ramaswami, global chief operating officer
Alexa Erjavic, senior director of global services strategy
Mark Ritacco, VP of operations and customer intelligence
Kate Woodcock, VP of customer advocacy
Shekar Ayyar, EVP/GM telco and edge cloud

This page is full of people ripping on Pat, but he went back to a company he was at for 30 years to close out his career as CEO, not unexpected.

Rajiv got a promotion (CEO at Nutanix) that he wasn't getting at VMware.

John Lens was fired.

Sanjay Poonen had a temper tantrum when he wasn't picked as CEO because he is an arrogant a-ho-e who doesn't know technology.

Shekar Ayyar quit to start his own SPAC which failed horribly and had to jump to another cr-p company Arrcus.

This is not exactly the A team you are listing here.
