Not layoff related, but the VOG survey is the biggest piece of sh-t in the history of this company. We can’t get certain products in, but yet they still include the metric of “Availability of Products” as a component of the Retail Index. Really? How is any store supposed to achieve their goal when literally every single survey rates us as dissatisfied or highly dissatisfied when it comes to product availability. I’m not just talking about meeting it just for the minimum bonus, I just talking about meeting it to get the RBLs and Karrie and Don off our backs. The only only purpose the VOG serves is to give Bill, Laura, and “the board” an impression that everything is just fine and they don’t need to change anything/invest more money.

If your a buyer, place out of stock items on hold. The meat buyers do it constantly to avoid having it count against them. When the wave runs, it won’t count against you.
It’s a rigid system. They don’t want you to meet your goal. They have no intention on paying out bonus money
