Jan 4th is just around the corner...
Union people are getting pi---d..
going to lose a lot of workers in the end.
The mandates for the vaccine were from the current administration and applied to companies with govt contracts. If you are in telecom, then you likely have govt contracts. ETC and 911 are basic examples. You cant simply end the contracts when you a have a franchise license to operate a telco. The mandate fines companies for unvaccinated workers, however at this point the mandate is on hold by order of a federal judge where it was challenged. Expect the govt to appeal the decision. At that point the mandate may be put back in place. This affects all Telcos out there. And any large scale union industries like electricians and plumbers or anyone who works on federal projects. Prevailing wage projects for example. The irony of Union workers complaining about a mandate from the administration they backed and supported ironic. Also considering they have no complaints when the govt mandates union bargaining for private companies with unions. This is what happens when you vote and support govts to force their will on the public for the “good” of the common man. The hypocrisy on display by union members is quite amusing.
For God's sake, we have all had a dozen vaccines before we were even allowed to go to school... what's one more? I just don't get what makes THIS vaccine different from the one for polio, measles, etc. (besides politics, that is)
They can force it. Sorry We don't go by Nuremberg rulings here in this country. Stop listening to the QANON id--ts.
We do go by the Constitution and Supreme court rulings.
Jacobson v. Massachusetts
Massachusetts, 197 U.S. 11 (1905), was a United States Supreme Court case in which the Court upheld the authority of states to enforce compulsory vaccination laws. The Court's decision articulated the view that individual liberty is not absolute and is subject to the police power of the state.
Start filing your retirement paperwork if you can. Adios! :-)
Why would u get the jab it is against the constitution no government including the president can force force vaccine also Nurenberg code of 1947 they cannot force it on to us the union needs to to get some ba--s and stand up against it also OSHA is not a government entity they cannot enforce that either
will see how many techs are left after the feb 4th deadline
Their not waiting until July 2022. They are bringing their own people. There will be no senior techs left and whoever doesn't have their numbers will be gone. It's a done deal. I have 2 weeks left and retiring at 48 with my points. I will be retiring to FL. I would have stayed and transfered to FL but we are being told FLs future is not inline with future endeavors and they will not accept any future company tranfers. New client. Gentlemen/Ladies your are not being told dates and their plans. July 2022 is a NO DEAL. There will be no discussion but rather a take or leave it. In my 27yrs I've seen alot but this stings knowing what we are being told up here and how lives will be affected down south. Good luck
Let's push the mandates and let the trash take itself out. Better file for retirement if you have the points.
Just out today Company wide... if you don't have by Jan 4th then you get 30 days of education time. then Feb. 4th you will be on 60 days unpaid leave. If by the end of that you have not gotten vaccinated then you will be removed from the company
It was pushed back? Sounds like a dire emergency, then.
pushed to jan 4th
Lets do the mandate company wide. If the old senior dinosaurs don't want the jab they can retire. Maybe then some of our seniority will improve and we'll have folks that actually want to do the job.
Get that jab d-mb a-s I work for frontier if they tell us to get it I’m done the shot is passion evil sh-t
Jab em all!
I've had 3 Pfizer shots, the last one was Tuesday the 19th. So far, so good.
