A lot of people were guessing and posting dates, but I don't know that any layoffs happened this month. Considering that it's past Thanksgiving and the end of the month is here, does it mean that we have managed to avoid the dreaded November layoffs this year? Please correct me if you know that a department or a location was affected. I just haven't heard of any.

God, I sure hope I get laid off this sh-t job soon. Hoping for a lay off but I may have to quit.
I just came here to say; fu-k NCR in 2021 and beyond.
Well they couldn’t break their long record of layoffs no matter how small
What department? Was HQ?
All of you spoke too soon. NCR just changed their strategy most likely because everyone expected it before thanksgiving. Any time you're smart enough to read the tea leaves NCR will change their strategy for security reasons. The truth is I know of 6 people that were laid off last week.
How many of the "BIG" tech companies let no one go during COVID, and even changed their whole approach to work because of it?....
NCR is an old dog in an ever changing world of tech. I suppose they have to justify that nice building overlooking Midtown Atlanta somehow. How many more will be laid off, given a RIF? Give it 2 years, and that "fancy" new location just may be an overflow spot for the Cheetah.
Well your probably correct. 25 years I was their and layoffs happened every year . But what weird is more people work at ncr now than we’re there then. So basically it just job swapping to overseas
Also I was laid off 4 times there, but was picked up by other teams after the first three, before the deadline. Seems after a certain salary and/age your a goner. But I was asked to come back after the forth time. It was past the deadline so refused the offer.
"No I think they laid off more than usual because of covid."
Wrong. I know a lot of software engineers that were hit in the last RIF. It was business and COVID was just the mask. Again, SHADY.
No I think they laid off more than usual because of covid. So this year they didn’t have to cut. That was my reasoning behind the comment.
You really think COVID was the reason they did the last RIF? It was an excuse to get rid of people. I know plenty of tech companies that didn't layoff anyone. NCR is a shady company.
Probably first time in 15 years they have not had a rif this time of year. Unfortunately and sad I Guess you can thank covid for that not Ncr corporate
Oh my, how will Mike and the ELT justify those obscene bonuses to the board and the stock holders this year?
Hard to find employees in the current job market so i guess ELT decided against it this year.
I guess not.
