Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

United Way contributions are down this year

United Way contributions are down this year and we keep getting emails to contribute and volunteer, The deadline was extended to get more contributions.

No wonder, with the threat of layoffs and being treated like cr-p, folks don't feel generous.

There’s a list of 200-300 branches that are pending approval to close on the North Carolina dept of banking website
If anyone is curious I think they have to file at least 90 days pre close it includes the whole footprint Truist is an nc state bank
Rather than relying on speculation

But, but, but…Truist is a company that deeply cares about the community and its employees. A company is free to treat employees as they wish, but the whole hilariously disingenuous farce that is Truist makes my blood boil. I shouldn’t feel this way, but I will not cry when karma catches up to Truist, and it is on the way.

Wait til the retail rank and file get the memo that the SVPs already got…more branch closures in Q1. Lots more!
It ain’t gonna be a very merry Christmas In Truist Town

The strong-arming, donation intimidation by management only worked because “teammates” wanted to keep their jobs. Now, it has been shown that donate or not, you may be riffed.

So, all bets are off.

(Also, employees may want to save their money in case they’re the next ones on the unemployment line.)
