Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

No one is really working for Oracle's future

Oracle has a gang culture and they kick people out of this sinking ship based on the needs of their group. No one is really working for Oracle's future, they are just waiting for their retirement comes someday. If you see this kind of group, don't join, jump off the ship now.

This is the perfect description of a huge part of Oracle of today. In case you were wondering why we're stagnating (at best).

Ruined typical Indian smartass leadership who are only after for their own good, coz they feel the are smart while in fact they are so "pathetic"(they use this words a lot in their so called english smart vocabulary)😄

Can you blame them, they give up their life for Oracle with no real reward, nobody cares. It is sad really. And the beat goes on. The smart ones jumped ship years ago, many never looking back, all the knowledge of DB/EBS/Siebel/J.D. Edwards down the toilet. They didn't jump ship to work on Oracle software stack somewhere else, they jumped into something completely different. Bold yes, stressful maybe, happier, you bet. From one who knows. One of the few, the proud smart people.

“ Why take up a space that can go to somebody else when you are almost done?”

I know 3 or 4 guys in this situation, and I have talked to them about it.

They stay because they earned the spot through blood sweet and tears over the years. They have a world of experience. Why give it away to someone who’s only claim to fame is that they graduated.

Besides, they will need the few measly dollars to survive!

That's because the best people either were let go or left on their own and the few who are still remaining there are so close to actual retirement it isn't worth the effort, the time or the commitment to another company to look. I know three people who retired this year and two more who will at year's end. Why take up a space that can go to somebody else when you are almost done?
