I ran into several of my former coworkers recently, none of them work at Intrado anymore. It's only been a year since I left, so to say I was surprised would be an understatement. What's going on? Have things been getting even worse in the past 12 months? Is there a major exodus going on?

I know first hand, also was laid off, rather fired after 22yrs of employment there. For a something I didn't have a hand in causing to happen that affected a customer. The sales rep (and believe it or not MY very own supervisor) messed up records on that account. I firmly believe someone had to be let go, I was the most tenured in the department, possibly one of the highest paid, I was pointed out because I did have two dings against me (oversleeping twice but 6mos apart, messed up schedules, etc etc) BUT this is the REAL reason... they hired hundreds of employees in Manila, Singapore, these 'cheap labor' countries. We were told these new employees were just going to engineer our events, giving us time to focus on account managing. A few months later, those Manila employees are being trained for Account Management work. Out with the old (expensive workers) In with new (cheap laborers). Tell I'm wrong and I will eat my socks!
Intrado isn't stable & upper management ran all the good employs out the door. The writing is on the wall so people left.
It’s business! Apollo owns them and it has always been known that Apollo was going to break them up and shake things out. Apollo purchased West in 2017 so if anyone is surprised by any of this, it’s time to Google Apollo Or take a course in Private Equity. They buy and restructure companies. Not a single person should be shocked! Sales, name changes, splits…..it’s almost been 5 years! It’s normal.
