Thread regarding Apache Corp. layoffs

Going through the pandemic

Even in my wildest dreams, I could not have imagined that this pandemic would happen. All of this has been going on for too long and these days I’m wondering if Apache could have dealt better with the pandemic?
Any thoughts?
This thing with mandates is a whole other story.

Apache doesn’t give a sh*t if you get covid. They never did and never will.

APA is cr@p because of cr@ppy employees and management. I remember the days when APA was respected and admired. Those days are long gone. C-Man and Rineysaurus have decimated the company. RP is rolling in his grave. Incompetence breeds incompetence and this company is the epitome of that. No direction, no ideals. Management is threatened by intelligent, free-thinking people so they only hire subservient individuals that follow the herd. No free thinkers are allowed.

No one at apa cares if you get covid s
It’s all lip service.

Ha! “ APA is a cr@p company because cr@ppy employees like the ones complaining here”.
Sure, as I remember the ones wasting billions on AH were the execs. They divested money making Assets, including 30% of Egypt to “invest” into that scam. Misleading investors and dragging the stock price to the ground. Cause at the end, execs make millions regardless of the performance of the company.

The previous poster is truly dilutional. APA is a poorly performing company because of a cr-p executive team and a board that is in the CEO’s pocket. A cr-p executive team leads to hiring/promoting of cr-p managers who cannot retain good employees.

Apache currently has an issue of very few high-performing individuals but this is not an employee problem as the highest performing individuals have voluntarily left over the past 2 years for greener pastures. Look at the people who have left in engineering, geology and land voluntarily in the past few years. Poorly managed companies lose their top performing people resulting in a constantly decreasing average competence level of employees.

Bunch of cry babies. What about the money you saved on gas?

It's obvious that we have a bunch of entitled whiners on this board. Obviously still very wet behind the ears and clueless about what a successful company looks like. APA is a cr@p company because cr@ppy employees like the ones complaining here.

Maybe they provided everything for you to work from home. I had to buy computer screens, docking station, etc etc. Other companies provided equipment or money.

I said, “some folks” have gotten lazy. I didn’t say, “everyone.” I know a lot of employees that bust their butts working from home and others… not so much. I’m sure you know of a few too.

So I guess real work to you is being in an office where you can keep an eye on everybody and micromanage them. Got it… thanks for dismissing everybody who helped the company have such a successful year that we still got a bonus al while Covid was decimating companies and we were working from home. But that’s not real work to you….

They pretty much shut down the office for almost two years and provided everything for employees to work from home. They told you to stay home if you, or anyone in your family was at risk. They told you to stay home if you didn’t feel safe. Exactly HOW could they have handled it better? Let’s be honest here, some folks have gotten lazy and don’t want to go back to real work.
