I've spoken to several former coworkers who have retired several years ago, and as far as they are concerned, this is still the best company in the world. I've tried to explain how much things have changed lately, but they're not buying it. I'm younger, unappreciative, and scared of hard work, apparently. I find their condescension funny, because I'm certain that they wouldn't last a month in today's MetLife. I am sad to know that this place used to be so much better but we have to deal with what it has turned into.

As a former employee, I still come here just to see how much shittier it’s gotten… and the updates have not disappointed.
Honestly just leave, guys. The world will go on. You will most likely make more money and be more appreciated.
They probably also think college tuition is still $1500 a year and bonuses are fully funded. We know the truth.
You are talking to the “retired”. Wrong audience. Try talking to people who are still active in the work force. Former employees who have moved have stories to tell & are more than happy to support you.
Many old timers still here say this isn’t the same company.
Distance makes the heart grow fonder
You have to understand that they older employees have a golden parachute.... Great retirement package and great benefits...
They don't understand how it has changed...
