Thread regarding MetLife Inc. layoffs

They can take this job and shove it

I'm done with this place. Can't take it any longer. Scheduled an email to land in my boss' inbox first thing Monday morning and they can send me a shipping label for my computer. I don't even care if they mail me back my cr-p at by cubicle. Anything to stop dealing with these toxic a-holes. I don't know why they think they can treat us like this when Google and Apple are setting up shop next door. Good luck to the rest of you. Hopefully you get out before the stress ki--s you.

Thanks all. Today was so relaxing I could feel the stress slide off my back. Doing some dev work for a buddy until Feb 1 then starting at a tech company in Durham. Best of luck to everyone on this board. I'm rooting for you guys.

Nothing will change. You did the right thing. Complaining and wondering how stupid leadership is is futile. Everyone needs to vote with their feet

I haven't had any personal possessions at the office in years.
Pix of the family were fakes. Who is that plain-looking wife?
Best of luck to ya.
Sure google and apple will treat you better. For sure. Yep. They say.

If you're savvy enough, schedule the email from a linux/unix system using the 'at' command. Pick one that won't be rebooted before your intended delivery date.

If you are serious, don't forget that scheduled emails depend on the client running (i.e. your computer) to send it.
