Thread regarding Marathon Oil Corp. layoffs

I risked covid going to lunch with some new acquaintances working at other oil companies this week. During the course of the conversation my time at MRO popped up. Usually I try to explain how poorly run MRO was during my short time there but for the first time ever they actually had their own stories about the CEO and the disconnected operations and poor execution of the company. I could not get a word in edgewise.
I am happy I quit a few years back but I am also happy that the CEO remains there not destroying another operation with his ego and disinterest.
Good luck to those there on the currently riding on the Lusitania . It looks like oil prices are going to pickup, jump ship when you can but don't berate those that can't!
