Thread regarding Marathon Petroleum layoffs

Union

I’m sure there will be quite a few people commenting negatively however after the recent years it needs to be considered. Things in Findlay are what they are and that is a completely different world as the field. The more time that goes by the more we are getting played by upper management. They want more for cheaper and think that we should be grateful. For the ones that say “then go elsewhere” yes we could and a lot are. Is that really the answer? Just start over? We honestly need to sit back and think about why they busted the unions. We also need to have serious discussions about bring them back. We are unhappy and tired. So why not do something besides “just leave”?

Wait to unionize until after the strikes/lockouts start next month.

I agree — someone here is definitely talking about Robinson….not sure that they’ll
Unionize within the next 12 months but I’m
Willing to bet meetings and discussion will be going within the hourly ranks, with them unionizing within 2-4 years.

Hearing rumors Robinson is going to unionize. Is this what you are referring to? You have to be writing this from a non-union facility, and that’s either Garyville or Robinson.
