Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

COP somehow are still trying to convince me I need a vaccine when a) many of the vaccinated people I know got Covid in past 3 weeks (this they can contract and spread just as an unvaxxed) and b)of everyone, vaxxed and unvaxxed, I don’t know anyone with any serious symptoms beyond 2 or less days of fatigue/fever/sore throat. If COP truly cared about your health and wanted to ‘stop the spread’, we would be working from home while omicron runs it’s course. The farce continues.

If the company 'cared' about you, then we would be working from home. They are only pushing the facade. The vaccine doesn't stop vaxxed from getting covid or from spreading covid amonst vaxxed people and vaxxed to unvaxxed. . . . . so remind me, why do unvaxxed people have to wear masks? What is that other than trying to 'shame' someone into doing something they don't want to do? Is the company trying to protect me from myself ( I have made a conscience choice that the vax isn't in my personal best interest)? If the company cared about your health, they won't incent healthy living and punish overweight people. But no, unhealthy living is acceptable while unvaxxed is getting crucified by the gvmt now.

The people getting really sick and ending up in the hospital are the unvaccinated people. Use your brain and get the vaccine. The company really does care about you as a person as well as thinking about you as an asset and a liability.

I think we’ll see a change in narrative in the next couple of weeks. I doubt COP want to take on liability for experimental Covid shots, especially given they don’t work against omicron. For context, Phillips 66 just nixed their Covid shot requirement following the Supreme Court ruling. Since companies’ as--s aren’t covered by the federal mandate, things will loosen up. Add in the EO from Gov Abbott prohibiting mandates, we’ll be going back to normal, God I hope so!

Unfortunately our “leadership” have bought into the lies… oil is bad, masks are good, vaccines save lives, global warming is real… this is not real science and not real leadership.

The Supreme Court has ruled this is regulatory overstepping.

When the required lanyards are rainbow for g-y employees, black for people of color, red for hormonal women… you’ll know we’ve gone too far, but by then it will be too late. We’ll be manufacturing windmills and solar arrays and losing billions and headed for bankruptcy.

(Unless our corrupt friends in government bail us out for following their agenda).
