Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

The TOMS at the TOP of the TOWERS ruined DST and caused these layoffs!

Since the late 1970's the Toms set the tone that employees could be abused, berated, blamed for anything, worked to a frazzle and then given below industry raises. Yes THEY set the tone. Regular rank and file are dirt, managers are gold. Toms collected millions, had vaca in Colorado retreats with gift bags for their families, boating events in the ozarks for their fav staff, and the rest of us were worthless. In other companies the leaders would NEVER have done that. Some leaders actually gifted millions of $ to their staff when the left or sold their companies (even public companies). DST takes the cake for greed and uncaring TOMS. Things were NOT GOOD under TOMS. Those that think it was have never worked for a normal company.

The only place that thinks highly of the "toms" is the college they went to. Nobody else is impressed. No big new articles about them and how they are saving downtown kansas city missouri. Is it even possible to save it with all the crime and bad political leadership? DSt should have moved to Overland Park back 40 years ago. Downtown is a joke.

I wonder how the toms felt, or if they felt anything, when they saw a college educated employee that only made $6.00 per hour walking down the hall at DST Systems Inc? Then decided to layoff those people in the future to "save money"? Huh?

Da "purple palace" never done got the industry memo about the development of sub-accounting. Thats standard fair for the good ol missoura boys. We done needed some talent from London or Zurich to help DST grow. Not cowboys.

The so called "TOMS" would not allow DST to unionize under United Office Workers. Can you imagine the complaints the union would have gotten? And the RIGHTS the employees would have? It would have been a different world at DST.

Yes when i left DST, I had been given a $25 Plaza gift certificate, a free pass to Benjamin Stables for the company picnic and a free pass to Worlds of Fun. After I was with my new company for 2 years, they made me a Partner. I couldn't believe it. So different! DST truly meant "d-mb-stupid-tom".
