It's most likely not the pay, which is under industry standards. It's certainly not benefits, which are lacking in every respect. It can't be career growth since it's non-existent unless you know the right people. So what is it? Why are people staying instead of using this opportunity to get away as fast and as far as possible?

I knew someone at 70's who still wanted to work at GA because it was so relaxed. Eventually he was forced to retire.
Yes - Terrible work ethic at GA, but after quitting and with the new company I agreed with the post "I feel more energized, focused, productive and alot happier after GA."
Wow all you people have terrible work ethic! How pathetic
I can't wait until the last day when I get to walk away from this toxic and depressing environment.
I feel more energized, focused, productive and alot happier after GA. Wish everyone the best during these challenging times.
I am at GA Bc I don’t have to work! Don’t need to learn anything new! Never put in a full days work or should I say I always put in a GA full day work and I am close to retirement! Why would I leave? I can relax until the end and enjoy the ride. Sure the pay sucks but if you account for actual hrs worked the pay is great! Most GA workers barley put in a 4 hr work day! It may not be the best place but I was fired and criticized at every other place I work! GA let’s you relax and get by!
I recently had an epiphany about this myself.
After looking at myself hard in the mirror, I realized I am at a dead end at GA and need to leave ASAP.
Guess I can go and work in HR, kickback and just collect a paycheck. Better than working for Walmart lol
Bc I have been here forever and have no skills. No one else will hire me and I am considered a top performer at GA. I have been institutionalized and really can’t leave even if I wanted to
