Bed Bath's New Reality

The harder the new clowns push metrics and shiny objects, the further down the grave goes. The new reality is that, without any actual leadership from the top, wannabe top and middle fakes. Who is going to really do any credible enforcement?!! No One! Fire the entire store leadership team?? Not meeting conversion!! Who cares?? WE have all of the leverage! Come to a store near you dms sdms evps and see what the real issues are. BE IN GD DRESS CODE! WE CAN DO YOUR JOB AS A TEAM BUT YOU CANNOT DO OURS!! Leadership 101! LEAD BY EXAMPLE! CD should be CEO NOT MT!!! proof of legit gotapen red response I want to hear

So American would be an ethnicity that includes everyone in America. We are all the same ethnicity now.

It is apparent that the new management "Corporate Clowns" on this board, as mentioned, all came from the failed Party City retailer. They are masterful liquidators and closing of business experts 🙄

There is not much moving forward when hours continue to be slashed and you cannot focus on helping customers. At this point it seems like they're just going to let it ride.

Funny how the corporate clown on here still likes to refer to us as entry level but has yet to show intelligent business ideas as to how this company is going to be successful going forward. Bet that person is really the janitor in NJ but the corporate janitor

An ethnic group or ethnicity is a grouping of people who identify with each other on the basis of shared attributes that distinguish them from other groups. Those attributes can include common sets of traditions, ancestry, language, history, society, culture, nation, religion, or social treatment within their residing area.[1][2][3] Ethnicity is sometimes used interchangeably with the term nation, particularly in cases of ethnic nationalism, and is separate from the related concept of races. “Walk out and see how easy it is to replace you. “

From a retail industry publication:

“According to Zippia, which published an aggregate of hiring information in September 2021:

The average cost per hire is $4,425. This amount includes advertising, background checks, dr-g screenings, pre-employment tests and other recruitment tasks.
It takes 36 to 42 days to fill an average position in the United States.
15% of Human Resources expenses are allocated towards recruitment efforts.
And it takes, on average, 12 weeks for a new hire to become fully productive.”

Drop that cost to 2k and I would say we easily go through 20+ new hires per year and extend that across 1000 stores.
$40,000,000.00
Is burning $40 million easy?

I must say some people on here are living in their own little dream world. If some of you think you can run a corporation they why arent you? You can be an entry level employee with years of experience..it means you are in a basic job.

The entry level comment is priceless. Guess that clown felt the sting of these posts a little too much. Fact most on here have been here a long time and are in management and higher. We are tired of seeing this company constantly run by those who have never stepped foot in a business management setting and actually had to work. Clowns should not be the ones taming tigers. They should stick to blowing their hot air into balloons. And to the condescending clowns on here, there are several well qualified managers with decades of experience that can do your job too. Corporate is always the first reduction in Chapter 11 filings so enjoy the kharma. Some day not too far away you maybe interviewing for a job where one of us is your boss.

How is it a fact everyone here works at entry level? The person who posted that has got to be the most innate individual I have seen here. Guess what, it is a fact I am not entry level and there are a lot of posts in this thread that are incredibly thought out and as accurate as I have seen here.

Facts in this thread:

  • 30 year old technology
  • Now most dms do not even know how to turn one on.
  • yes a cashier can run a multi billion dollar company because the old regime all had to start as dept managers and cashier training was day 3 of training.
  • there are people that still defend how pathetic this company is run.
  • stores are so grossly understaffed

I definitely get the sarcasm in this one:
Maybe IT will fix, I don’t know, the entire system?

Outside of HR and Logistics, IT is the biggest circus in the entire company.

“Look..most if you work entry level jobs. You do not know how to run a small business let alone a multi million company. Those are the facts. You work in retail..you are not a neuro surgeon. You are replaceable. Easily”

Clearly HR.
Good people skills.
What’s your turnover percentage running?
Bet it’s high.
And even MT is a cog in a wheel. Ask his predecessor about it.

It’s the benefits of corporate life these days.
Stagger outta bed around 10.
Send some emails and maybe a zoom or two.
Rap up around 3.
Explain again why corporate isn’t working in the office?
Earnings looked great by the way.
Good work.
Couple things.
Maybe MT can figure out that the product has to be in stores to sell to customers this quarter?
Maybe the crack marketing dept. can actually get the mailers in the mail?
Maybe IT will fix, I don’t know, the entire system?

Used to be a time when a dm could ring a register and run a store. Now most dms do not even know how to turn one on. And yes a cashier can run a multi billion dollar company because the old regime all had to start as dept managers and cashier training was day 3 of training. Silly how there are people that still defend how pathetic this company is run.

Post ID: @wqi+1eNfGJ4R

why are there so many people that just rip on anyone in the store who calls out this company's bs? seriously, we're the ones that deal with the customers, that know the customers; there was a time when corporate let the stores make decisions on merchandising, IOM's, etc based on the customers in that area, and it worked! now that we have corporate telling us what's what from the comfort of their homes for at LEAST another 2 months, the customers are dwindling. but yeah, no one in store could ever be in charge..

Post ID: @rsa+1eNfGJ4R

A cashier actually and directly interacts with the thing we seem to be running out of.
Customers.
Maybe corporate can take field trips to a local store so they can see what an actual customer is and how best to interact with the customer.
Oh wait, I think they’re all still “working “ in their PJ’s. Well when they decide what’s important and get back to their cubicles then maybe.....
