Doubt much of anything in China is home-grown, except for cyber scamming, executions by firing squad or maybe by Anti Aircraft G-ns now that their Rocket Man buddy made popular. It is more likely the home-grown you mention, is stolen technology, like all the Boeing tech documents swiped over the years or they reverse engineer other companies products. But McD did get fined after getting caught shipping high tech machining equipment to China during former CEO Harry Stonecipher's watch during the Clinton years.
The C919 is probably a tin can that used stolen Boeing tech for sure.
COMAC is garbage just like the MAX, 787 and KC-46, Boeing built junk that ki--s people.
The only thing Boeing leadership is worried about is getting their severance packages before the company goes into bankruptcy and is broken up. Having worked at Boeing in past and more recently with COMAC, my money is on COMAC soon crushing Boeing and eventually crushing Airbus too. Sorry people...reality is always more durable than delusion...even if people prefer delusion...
You honestly think Boeing is worried about that pile of CHIT
China planes are as about as save as their elevators and escalators lol… keep hating Boeing cuz it’s not going anywhere!
Boeing is a pathetic welfare case living off the taxpayers dime and delivering sub-standard junk to the military, like the POS KC-46 tanker.
Yeah, Phil was the bone head who disenfranchised licensed professional engineers by creating a phoney Boeing engineering fraternity and who allowed MD to buy Boeing with Boeing money. Only question remaining is how long it will take before Boeing is just a historical footnote in aerospace history. I'd guess 5 years at most.
Boeing's days were numbered back when Phil Conduit was "trying" to run the company. They've been going down hill for over 20+ years. Sad but True....
More Chinese parts in Boeing airplanes than in Chinese airplanes. Lots of defective parts in Boeing airplanes too. The best people who left Boeing have been helping COMAC and SpaceX for many years. COMAC will do to Boeing what SpaceX has already done to Boeing. RIP Boeing.
Not a fault of mine or my fellow technicians. I’m not responsible for any software engineering decisions smh. Yes Boeing is the king and the best place to be in aerospace industry.

KING
Кilliոg Innocents Now is Great
Who cares. They can build as many sh---y made in China planabbes as they want to. They won’t EVER compete with us. Russia jets are even stinkier pos. Boeing is still the KING.
Boeing has a composite center in China. Giving them Boeing specifications and processes to build composite parts which they then train their employees who then end up going to work for the competition.
Russia also has a new airplane where most of their employees are former Boeing employees who were trained by Boeing at the Boeing design center who left because of the low wages at Boeing.
Boeing did the same thing with Mitsubishi. Give them a large section of the 787 to design and build, gave them access to design manuals, stress mantels, process specs and materials who then turn around and use those documents to build a regional jet to compete against Boeing.
Boeing management has literally trained their competition to compete against them: The short term strategy where the CEO only cares about the bonus for this year is destroying the company. They have literally sold the company out to the competition.
Not to mention how they’ve destroyed the company safety reputation with the 737 max which was the biggest selling point to the company. I don’t think this company will survive given how mismanaged it has been.
Ha ha
We knew this was coming for some time. China has quickly become the major manufacturer of most everything. Most recently trains...and soon cars and planes... If Chinese planes are not certified and allowed to operate in Europe and US, don't expect European and US planes to be allowed to operate in China. Boeing's days are numbered...and were numbered even without the emerging Chinese and Russian competition.
Way to go. Boeing established 737 assembly factory to court Chinese airlines but actually China govt force Boeing to transfer technology and assembly know-how as offset package for aircraft order. Now China is prepared to deliver C919 to their domestic airlines in the name of supporting their aerospace industry and could cost lots of orders from Boeing/Airbus although their bird may not be certified to fly outside of China.
