@ctf+1eVUweqz I think you forgot Sears Mattress store (another oddly specific store). I'm waiting for some more specific Sears stores. Sears Furniture Store would be too vague. How about Sears Chairs Store, Sears Table Store, Sears Sofa Store, Sears Recliner Store, Sears End Table Store, Sears Coffee Table Store, Sears Socks Store, Sears TV Stand Store, Etc.?

Or if those are not specific enough, perhaps Sears 10 Foot 7 Inches, Long Sofa Store? Or Sears Blue Vinyl Recliner With Stripes Store? Or Sears Navy Blue Recliner With Pink Stripes And Cupholder Store? Or Sears Navy Blue Recliner With Pink Stripes And Cupholder With Velour Store? Hey I can make the names as specific as you want. Let's do "Sears Shirts For People Who Are Exactly 5' 11", & Weight 196.432 Pounds Store", which would of course be different from "Sears Shirts For People Who Are Exactly 5' 10", & Weight 198.327 Pounds Store".

Of course I'm being silly, but I'm also half jokingly mocking them for having all these d-mb, bizarrely specific store concepts. I mean, we can play Scrabble here. How many different combinations can you make from the words 1. Appliances, 2. Hardware, & 3. Mattresses.

Let's see, I haven't been in math class for Years, but off the top of my head,

  1. Sears Appliances
  2. Sears Hardware
  3. Sears Mattresses
  4. Sears Appliances & Hardware
  5. Sears Hardware & Mattresses
  6. Sears Appliance & Mattresses
  7. Sears Appliances, Hardware, and Mattresses.

Did I miss any? OK, since I'm being goofy, I'll randomly throw in:

  1. Sears Appliances, Hardware, and Mattresses for people who are between 5'10" and 6' 1.5" tall, and who weight between 197.56 and 212.358 Pounds Store.

OK that's enough. I made enough fun of Sears idi0tic store concepts already haha.

To the troll poster below, if they indeed opened a Sears cheese shop (LOL) then it wouldn't increase the FULL LINE Sears count to 17. The full line count would remain at 16, BUT, it would add to the total SEARS count (which remains in the hundreds). In other words, if Burger King kept a count of total Whopper sales, then a sale of a Whopper Jr. wouldn't count in those "Whopper sales" but they would count in the overall total Burger King "burger sales". Semantics, sure, but they do count.

They had the Sears Auto Centers, but no one ever called them "stores" even when they were stand alone. Not sure why a few odd things thrown in some empty space is so important that someone here needs to keep mentioning them with every post. If they do open a Sears cheese store in Wisconsin does that mean the store number needs to go up to 17?

Not to mention they even had the distinction of Sears Appliances, Sears Hardware, and Sears Appliance & Hardware. Those were actually 3 different concepts for some stup1d reason. Also, Sears Home & Life, which is somehow different from Sears Hometowns in some way. And Sears Auto Center, Sears Appliance Repair, Sears Parts. I mean there were probably a good 50 different kinds of Sears at one point or another. Poster below is exaggerating a bit, but it's not too much of a stretch. There might have even been a Sears lemonade stand run by a 10 Year old in his front yard, at some point. 😁😃😆🙄😏 I mean, they basically slapped the Sears name on anything.

To the poster below, yep, you're right. They have (or had) Sears appliance, Sears Optical, Sears Hardware, Sears Hometowns, Sears Fish & Tackle, Sears Li---r Stores, Sears Hair Tonic for Bald Eagles store, Sears Penguin feeding stores (in Antarctica), Sears Cheese stores (in Wisconsin), Sears BBQ Rib stores (in the south), etc.. Just exaggerating a bit, LOL, but they did have a lot of oddly specific, unusual formatted stores, LOL.

Wrong. We are down to 16 FULL LINE Sears. There are 100's of various small format Sears stores. That distinction must be made. There are so many oddly specific Sears formats.
